UNDER THE HOOD (NeHOA news letter excerpt)
Well, here we are at the end of another cruisin season. Another batch of great memories of places, people and of course vehicles. Danville, PA Carlisle, PA and Rutland, VT. The meet in Vermont went exceedingly well due to not only our able crew of hosting members but als0 the incredible staff at the Holiday Inn in Rutland, VT. These people set a whole new standard for service that we who attended experienced. They could not have been more accommodating! When we arrived, our section of the parking lot was already coned off. They prepared a wash area with not only a hose, but also buckets, Windex and TOWELS to dry off your car! Yes, instead of warning us to not use hotel towels, they provided some! Our breakfast buffet (all three days) was set up in our ownnseparate room. It included both hot and cold breakfast foods. The banquet Saturday evening was great and the food was left out during the door prize drawing and the slide show. "In case someone needed to nibble." Coffee was offered continuously until we actually left the room. For the Sunday pizza party, the hotel restaurant made the delicious pizza and set up an outdoor banquet room with the same set up as the banquet Saturday evening. Wow! What sevice! If you have to travel to Rutland, Vermont I highly recommend the Holiday Inn.
Activities for the weekend were a cruise to a local cruise spot for a meal and hang out with some of the locals! Some interesting vehicles including another orange '08 Challenger. Saturday was on our own with the large number of attractions in the area.

To: ccasey-hurka@hivermont.comSubject: Gerontology ConferenceHi Caryn,
Thank you for introducing yourself at the conference - it was nice to put a
face with a name. I wanted to let you know what a great experience we had
with the Holiday Inn. From your initial assistance through the actual
on-site preparations, everything went extremely smoothly. The staff,
especially Deb and Meg, were just outstanding - friendly, helpful and
accommodating at every turn. When we needed something, they were right
there and on top of everything. I've been in the business of planning
medical conferences for a very long time, and I can tell you that our
experience with the Holiday Inn and all of the staff, was one of the best -
truly exceptional. I will most definitely recommend the Holiday Inn
whenever we seek to hold a conference in the southern part of the state.
Thanks again for everything!

Hi Caryn,
I know I'm a little late with this, but I want to thank you and your wonderful and capable staff for the service at the Troy Conf. event in July. It was great. We couldn't have had any better. Your staff is top notch. They are capable and dedicated people. Even more important, they had a great sense of humor and the interaction between our conf. and your staff was GREAT! Everyone enjoyed it immensely. It just made the weekend more fun. The classes can get pretty heavy and the fun exchanges were a wonderful relief.
Also thank you for the return of the banner and my fan. The banner will go to Conf. achieves, as an historical relic. The fan was a cheapie, but important to me. I have claustrophobia and I have to have some kind of air moving all the time. Thank you so much for looking for me.
Your front desk staff is suburb. I am especially grateful to the gentleman who came and got my computer on line for me. No matter my request, it was fulfilled almost immediately. They were well trained, pleasant and accommodating. As some one who made their living as a Font Desk supervisor/trainer, I know a good staff when I see one.
Again,. Thank you and God Bless.

Hi Caryn,
I am doing my best to catch up after last week’s craziness. I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you to you, Deb, and the rest of the staff at your facility. Our event is quite a bear as it turns out, and this was my first time planning it. I appreciate your willingness to “go with the flow” and be flexible in order to make sure that everything went off without a hitch. Everyone seemed very happy, and we couldn’t have done it without the help of your dedicated staff.
Thanks!
